The Artist

Bradford Tassey was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He attended Classen SAS where he majored in orchestra by way of the stringed-bass. He discovered ceramics through an elective class in high-school. He experimented with hand-building shapes that took on a “coral reef” likeness.
After graduating high-school he moved to New York City in 2010 to pursue Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Bradford pursued several internships with New York based designers throughout his Associates Degree. He began to work full time at a buy-sell-trade after graduating F.I.T in 2013. In January of 2018 he began working as a studio manager at a mens sportswear company. He left the company in December of that same year. He moved back to Oklahoma in November of 2021 to re-focus and re-calibrate his priorities. He began taking pottery classes at the Oklahoma Contemporary in the fall of 2023 where he learned how to throw on the wheel. He steadily honed his craft and began applying for art-shows. In 2024 he was a featured artist in Allied Art’s “Artini” live auction. He was invited to return in 2025 as well. He also was a featured Artist in the Oklahoma Contemporary Museum ” Studio School Exhibition” in 2025. He is currently working on a new series called “Portal Power” that he hopes to unveil at the beginning of 2027.
